Early 2016 I found a collection of photo albums in the garbage. They used to belong to an unknown lady who apparently lived in the apartment building next to my studio. While leafing through her albums, these memories from a stranger recalled my own memories. I decided to use these found pictures as a starting point for my new paintings.

The Legacy portfolio is a series of portraits after photographes that I found at fleamarkets and in secondhand stores. These are oilpaintings on canvassheets and they are 30 cm x 40 cm each. Each portrait has a number that refers to the order of origin and a fictional name as if the person portrayed was a relative of a celebrity. I started this portfolio in 2017 and I'm still working on new portraits.
